The different growth
The population growth is not the same from state to state. We can distinguish 2 groups of countries: * The North -> low or negative growth, * The South -> much have strong growth. There are more differences than in the north. Africa stands out. All these differences are due to the position of each country in demographic transition. Northern countries have completed their demographic transition. To the South, some have ended (India, China), others are in late transition and other, as in Africa, are in transition. Under this heading, the population of these countries is either young or older. The countries 'young' population in transition face the needs of a growing population. They therefore have problems of development.
